A stunning looking Kia Soul EV in metallic white with a metallic turquoise roof and trim. Being the 2018 model, it has the larger 30kWh battery pack, giving a range of around 130 miles or more. The manufacturer's warranty is 7 years/100,000 miles from new, so this car still has 5 years warranty cover and still more than most other new EVs.
The Soul EV has a high standard spec, with heated steering wheel, heated seats, front & rear parking sensors, rear reversing camera, sat nav, bluetooth, DAB radio, Android Auto & Apple Carplay, 50kW DC rapid charging and an efficient heat pump heating system.

Charging
The Kia Soul EV has two charging ports behind the front panel. A Chademo port for 50kW DC rapid charging and a type 1 (J1772) for normal AC 6.6kW charging.
When using a public DC rapid charger, it takes 33 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80%. When using an 7kWh AC wall charger, it will take around 4.5 hours to charge the battery from 0-100%.
The car comes with the type1 to type2 charging cable for connection to a home wall charger or public charging post. Also included is a portable charger (granny cable) for charging from a standard mains socket. These only draw 10A, so do take a long time to charge (11-14 hours from empty to full), but it will charge the vehicle overnight and allows you to charge the car anywhere.

Range
The range of a vehicle is dictated by the battery capacity, driving style and temperature. Just like a petrol or diesel vehicle, range is reduced is you drive fast or uneconomically. For further details, see Range Explained.
The official range (using the NEDC test cycle) is 155 miles. However in the real world, it is around 130 miles in the summer and around 95-100 miles in the winter, depending on heater use.

31.8kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, with a usable capacity of 30kWh. Battery is owned. The current battery state of health is still at 100% (tested on 04/08/2020).

The manufacturer's warranty is to 28/06/2025. The Kia Soul EV has a 7 year warranty on the whole vehicle - i.e. the car, the EV components and the traction battery pack.

Home charging equipment
Home charging equipment
All vehicles from Go Green Autos come with the FREE loan of a portable charger, if the charger is not included with the vehicle. This means you can start using your new EV immediately and charge at home using a standard 3-pin mains socket, until your wall charger is installed. Subject to conditions. Installation of a 'smart' home or workplace charging unit can be be part-funded with the OLEV grant covers £350 towards the costs, so typically end up costing around £400-£750 installed. See Charging for further information.
