Maxus eDeliver 3 electric van

The Maxus eDeliver 3 is the first ground up electric van available in the UK as all previous electric vans are adaptations of existing diesel models.  Maxus, which was previously called LDV in the UK, are manufactured by SAIC Motors who are the largest automotive group in China and also bring us the MG brand.

The Maxus eDeliver 3 is a small-medium electric van which is a direct competitor to the Nissan E-NV200, which is rumoured to go out of production in 2021. The eDeliver 3 offers a slightly larger cargo space and is available with either a 35kWh or 52.5kWh battery pack. There is only one trim level and all models get heated seats, air conditioning, DC CCS rapid charging, reversing camera & sensors and DAB radio.

The 90kW motor is the most powerful in its class (see comparisons below) and you get two drive modes (standard & eco) plus three levels of regenerative braking.

The Maxus eDeliver 3 is available as a single size panel van (SWB) and also a LWB chassis cab for custom body builds. The panel van is one of the first electric vans which is rated for towing and has a towing capacity of up to 1,200kg with a braked trailer.

The cargo volume is 4.3m3 and has a maximum payload of 865kg in the 35kWh version and 905kg in the 52.5kWh model. The load area is 2180mm long, 1330mm in height and 1220mm between the wheel arches.

The WLTP range is: 99 miles combined/151 miles city with the 35kWh battery and 141 miles combined/213 miles city with the 52.5kWh battery. These tests were performed with 750kg load. See video below where I achieved 159 miles driving the 35kWh model empty on a mix of roads.
