The Citroen Berlingo Electric is the same van as the Peugeot Partner Electric. They have a 22.5kWh battery pack, 3 seats up front and have DC rapid charging. This Berlingo is an unusually high specification with metallic silver paint, reversing sensors, passenger airbag, DAB radio, touch screen sat nav and Apple CarPlay. This van also has a phone app with pre-conditioning and remote battery status (see app video), which is something that has never been available on Berlingo or Partner vans before. The passenger seat also folds down flat, allowing you to load load items through and can take 3 metre pipe or conduit inside, rather than carrying on the roof.
This van is a one owner (ex-lease) and has done 7,200 miles since new, yet still looks and feels like a new van. Being zero emission, these vans are road tax exempt and London congestion zone and ULEZ exempt (but only after registering).
For full details of specifications and dimensions, refer to the Peugeot brochures at the bottom of this page. The Partner & Berlingo electric van specifications remained unchanged from 2014-2020.

The range of a vehicle is dictated by the battery capacity, driving style and temperature. Just like a petrol or diesel vehicle, range is reduced is you drive fast or uneconomically. For further details, see Range Explained.
The official (NEDC) range is 106 miles, but in real life this is typically around 80-90 miles in the summer, if driven economically. Range is reduced in winter to around 60-70 miles, but this does depend on the temperature and heating use.
This van has both AC charging and DC rapid charging. The rapid charging is via a 50kW Chademo port at the rear. Public rapid chargers are found in motorway service stations, petrol stations, IKEA, Lidl stores and some roadside locations. You get a charge (to 80%) in around 20-25 minutes.
The AC charging is via a type1 (J1772) port at the front, which charges at 3.6kW/16A. AC chargers are what you find in car parks, roadside locations, shopping centres, workplace and home wall chargers. At 3.6kWh, you'll add about 15 miles of range per hour of charging.
You can also charge from a standard 240V mains socket using a portable charger cable (often called a granny cable). These charge at 2.3kW/10A and add about 10 miles per hour of charging.
Charging would typically be overnight or top-ups between trips, when the van is not in use.
Charge times (from empty) are approx:
25 mins to 80% on a 50kW DC rapid charger
7 hours to 100% on a 7kW AC charger
9 hours to 100% on a 2.3kW portable charger
The van comes with a type1 to type 2 AC charge cable.
22.5kWh lithium-ion battery, of which around 20.5kWh is usable. The battery is owned and has an 8 year manufacturer's warranty from new.
It is not possible to test the battery health on these vans as the battery management system does not report the state of health. However, these packs will typically last the life of the vehicle and only loose around 1% per year.
Watch the video above for a full review of the condition. Everything works without any faults or errors.
The tyre treat depths: Front both 6.2mm, rear both 7.0mm.
New tyres typically are 6.5-7.5mm tread depth. The legal limit is 1.6mm.The first MoT is not due until 22/04/2022.
This van has just had a service and thorough inspection.
The service intervals on a the Berlingo Electric are every 2 years or 25,000 miles. Servicing on these is little more than a cabin filter change and an inspection.
1 since new. V5 shows no previous keepers.
The manufacturer's warranty from new is:
8 years/60,000 miles on the traction battery
5 years/60,000 miles on the EV powertrain
3 year/100,000 mile manufacturing defects
Therefore the battery is warranted to 22/04/2027; the electric powertrain (electric motor, charger, inverter etc) to 22/04/2024 and the rest of the van to 22/04/2022.
2 remote keys
