Range

The range of a vehicle is dictated by the battery capacity, driving style and temperature. Just like a petrol or diesel vehicle,  range is reduced is you drive fast or uneconomically. For further details, see Range Explained.

The official range is 168 miles on the NEDC test cycle and 143 miles on the WLTP cycle, but in real life this around 130-140 miles in summer if driven efficiently. As with all EVs, the range is reduced in the winter due to the cold and heater use.  Typically cold winter range is around 20% lower, depending on heating use. These do have pre-conditioning which can help to keep winter driving efficient.

The range you can achieve with a full battery (approx 31kWh) at different average driving economies is:

• 5.0 mpkWh (super efficient city driving) = 155 miles

• 4.5 mpkWh (efficient summer driving) = 139 miles

• 4.0 mpkWh (average driving) = 124 miles

• 3.5 mpkWh (efficient winter driving) = 108 miles

• 3.0 mpkWh (very cold winter driving) = 93 miles

Charging

The front charging port is a type 2 socket.  The Kangoo ZE33 vans have a 7.4kW AC charger with no DC rapid charging facility.  A type 2 charging cable is included for connecting to a home/workplace/public chargers. 

Charging is typically overnight or top-ups between trips.  A full charge takes around 5-6 hours when using a 7kW charger. Top-ups will add around 25 miles per hour of charging.

A 10A portable charger (often called a 'granny cable') can also supplied with this van. See portable charger loan for further information. When charging on a normal mains socket, a ZE33 will take around 16 hours to charge from 0-100% and adds approximately 10 miles per hour.

Battery

33kWh lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of around 31kWh. This Kangoo is an 'i' model and therefore the battery pack is owned. The battery warranty is 5 years/100,000 miles from new, to 70% state of health. The current state of health (tested on 23/05/2023) is at 100%.

Condition

The tyre depths are: Fronts 6.2/6.1mm, rears 7.5/6.5mm, spare 6.8mm.

MoT

The first MoT is due and will be obtained before delivery.

Service history

This van has just had a service and thorough inspection on 23/05/2023 at 3,598 miles, which also included an air conditioning regas and new wiper blades. A service history printout from the original operator shows that it was also previously serviced on 11/06/2021 and 20/04/2022.

Warranty

From new, the manufacturer's warranty is:

• 5 years/100,000 miles on the traction battery, which guarantees it to 70% SoH.

• 4 years/100,000 miles on the electric powertrain (i.e. all the high voltage components such as electric motor, charger, inverter etc). Unlimited mileage for first 24 months, then limited to a total of 100,000 miles from 25th to 48th month, whichever comes first.

• 3 year/100,000 miles on the rest of the van. Unlimited mileage for first 24 months,then limited to a total of 100,000 miles from 25th to 36th month, whichever comes first.

Therefore, the traction battery is warranted by Renault to 30/12/2024 and the EV powertrain components to 30/12/2023. As the manufacturer's warranty on this vehicle has expired on the rest, this van comes with a 3 month no quibble warranty from Go Green Autos.
